I can’t remember the last time I’ve ever been excited about a Jim Carrey movie (Man on the Moon?), but the rubber-faced former funnyman actually got a chuckle out of me in the red band trailer for Kick-Ass 2, which continues the adventures of the titular masked vigilante and the pint-sized (and foul-mouthed) Hit-Girl. This time around they team up with Carrey’s Colonel Stars and Stripes and other crimefighters as part of a Justice League-esque superteam.
Even though I have yet to read Mark Millar’s Kick-Ass 2 mini-series, my interest is piqued. Watch the trailer below, and check out the movie when it hits theaters June 28.
